UAAP cancels Saturday’s games

After due consultation and considering what appears to be a severe weather disturbance, the University Athletic Association of the Philippines deems it best for everyone’s interests to cancel the basketball games today (Saturday).

Defending champion Ateneo was supposed to play Far Eastern University, while Adamson University was set to take on De La Salle in the men’s division at the Smart Araneta Coliseum.

Also called off was the women’s morning matches between University of Santo Tomas and La Salle and titleholder National University and Adamson, also at the Big Dome.

The league on Thursday announced the postponement of the opening of the chess tournament today (Saturday) at the UST’s Quadricentennial Pavilion.

The opening round will now be played on Wednesday.
