ALASKA, JR.NBA CONTINUE TO NURTURE FUTURE STARS

Alaska Milk Corporation continues to open doors for future champions as it continues its partnership with the Jr. NBA Philippines– the breeding ground of the rising stars in Philippine basketball.

 The NBA’s global youth basketball program began with coaches seminar and official tipoff ceremony, attended by officials from Alaska Milk Corporation, NBA Philippines and Asia and its partners at the at Don Bosco Technical Institute in Makati.

Alaska’S newly designated managing director Marco Bertacca said it will be his major campaign to make the Filipino children healthy.

“Some of the health problems of children here are malnutrition and obesity. We will continue to do projects that promote active and healthy lifestyle. “Let the children get out and play sports in the sun.

The camp which will run until May 2018 – has produced some of the most promising basketball talents in the country today.

Alaska Milk and Jr. NBA/WNBA have laid down their pathway to success by building their character at an early age through the STAR values: Sportsmanship, Teamwork, a positive Attitude and Respect.

“As part of our long-standing partnership with the NBA, Alaska Milk Corporation is proud to play an active role in shaping the basketball players of tomorrow through good nutrition and proper life values, “said Alaska Milk Corporation Marketing Director Blen Fernando.

The Jr. NBA camp will hold regional selection camps in Bacolod (Feb. 10-11), Butuan (Feb. 24-25), Baguio (March 17-18) and another in Manila (April 7-8) with the top 37 boys and girls to be invited in the National Training Camp which is tentatively set in the last week of April or early May.

Jr. NBA Philippines is the most complete basketball program for the kids as it also promotes a healthy lifestyle with the help of Alaska Milk whose mission NUTRITION.ACTION.CHAMPION.
