‘Nang Ngumiti Ang Langit’ wins hearts of viewers nationwide

More Filipinos tuned in to the pilot episode of the newest  Kapamilya series, Nang Ngumiti Ang Langit last Monday morning, instantly captivating viewers as it scored a national TV rating of 15.8 percent compared to Hiram Na Anak which only got 8.9 percent, according to data from Kantar Media.

Nang Ngumiti Ang Langit also conquered social networking sites such as Twitter where the hashtag #NNALUnangNgiti became a nationwide trending topic. Netizens were happy to see Kaye Abad again on television after her last series, Two Wives.

In the first episode, Ella (Kaye), the illegitimate daughter of David, the patriarch of the Salvadors, saw how the rift between her family and the Villaluna started. The disagreement between the two families intensified when Ella’s father was killed by David.

But over time, Ella fell in love with the eldest of the Villalunas, Michael (RK Bagatsing), who did not leave her side.

However, she did not expect that their love would result to her brother’s death after Michael accidentally shot Eric (Rafa Siguion-Reyna).

With Eric’s passing, find out what will happen to Ella and Michael. Will this be the end of their love story?
