Carla Abellana names Piolo Pascual and Bea Alonzo as two stars whom she likes to work with on a silver screen project in the near future.
“I guess, I’ve already worked with almost all Kapuso stars on TV,” she says. “In fact, my manager always asks me whom would I like to star with in a television project but when we speak of GMA, I already collaborated with the station’s biggest talents. So, let’s think of another medium—films! That’s where Piolo and Bea come in.
“I mean, who wouldn’t want to share the screen with them, right? In fact, in one of my meetings with Bea, I joked that I want to be part of any of her future movies even if it’s not a big role. I won’t mind even if it’s just a short appearance. She just laughed on my comment but for me, it’s just okay. It will be a big honor.
“When it comes to Piolo, well, I think all female stars want to work with him. Regardless of whom he’s paired with, the public supports his movies. His charm and drawing power is different. It may sound cliché but Piolo is Piolo! I’m hats-off to him!’’
If given the chance, Carla would like to star in a light material opposite Piolo.
Meanwhile, after I Heart Davao, the be dimpled actress will be seen next in a major soap opera whose details she cannot divulge yet.
“We’re going to start taping soon. I’m excited because the plot is something new to me. I have sisters here but we have different mothers. That’s the main conflict. It’s actually a family drama I’m sure TV buffs can easily relate to.”
Will she be paired with boyfriend Tom Rodriguez in her new teleserye?
“That won’t be possible because he’s also busy with his own soap. It will overlap. Besides, the story of my new program is centered on family. It’s not a romantic vehicle, so it’s okay.”
How is this different from all the other soap operas she did in the past?
“Actually, the drama element is always part of my soaps. As what I’ve mentioned earlier, the focus of the story is on the sisters, their conflicts among one another. That’s something new for me. I’m sure the viewers will like the twists and turns in the plot. I hope that like my previous successful soaps, people would support my new offering as well,” ends Carla.

According to Mark Bautista, he feels happy that after the release of his book Beyond the Mark in which he admitted his true self, he’s receiving more positive feedback now.
“I don’t get negative reactions anymore unlike the first time that some would send their messages to me asking why I did it. Perhaps, upon reading the entirety of the book, they understood me more. They realized that my intentions were clean in what I’ve stated in the book,” he says.
Mark feels proud that he receives messages from people telling him that they got inspired with the book. He considers it as another milestone in his life.
Now that he has made his life almost an open book, many are curious if he has a new love life after making some interesting admission in the book.
“To be honest, there’s none. My focus is not on that at present. But if that happens, at least, that person knows me already and I’ve nothing to explain anymore,” says Mark and that he’s not closing his doors if there’s someone who will come.
