The finale week of hit revenge drama series Makiling is set to take over the small screens with even more intense scenes of vengeance packed with shocking twists and turns.

Elle Villanueva, who stars as the revenge-seeking Amira, expressed her sentiments over the show’s success amidst its upcoming end during the media conference for its finale week.

“It takes a good team and cooperation to make a great series. Nakikita po kasi namin na lahat ng tao dito passionate sa ginagawa nila kaya siguro napakaganda ng resulta,” the actress said.

Senior Program Manager Karen C. Lumbo shared that what makes Makiling different from other shows is its constant attempt to push the boundaries with every scene.

“We love to experiment, we love to try new things or offer something new to viewers. That’s very challenging because afternoon dramas have always been a staple of our programming, so almost everything has been done. People are used to certain storylines. But we wanted to do something different,” said Lumbo.

Going over the things that the actors will miss most from their roles, Villanueva said that she will miss acting as Almira because she was her favorite character to portray.

“I will miss how he always listens to his heart and how close he is to his family… and how he fights for himself,” said Villanueva.

Revolving around the theme of revenge, Makiling stars Villanueva alongside Derrick Monasterio, Thea Tolentino, Kristoffer Martin, Myrtle Sarrosa, Lotlot de Leon, Royce Cabrera, and Rabiya Mateo. It also features veteran actors Mon Confiado, Bernadette Allyson-Estrada, Richard Quan, Cris Villanueva, Lui Manansala, and Andrea Del Rosario.
