Three bodies were found in Daraga, Albay, on Sunday, one day after Ako Bicol Rep. Rodel Batocabe and his police bodyguard were murdered in the same town.
Chief Inspector Maria Calubaguib confirmed that a third body was found Sunday, a few meters from two others that had been found earlier but could not say as yet if these deaths were related to Batocabe’s assassination.
All three bodies found in Barangay San Vicente Grande, in Daraga, Albay, had gunshot wounds. No IDs were found on the bodies.
Villagers who found the bodies said they looked unfamiliar.
Police said they were looking at possible links between the killings and Batocabe’s assassination after a gift-giving event for Christmas in Barangay Burgos, Daraga, on Saturday.
