HOLLYWOOD actress Drew Barrymore is in town and walked the red carpet Monday night at SM Mega Fashion Hall for the premiere of Netflix’s hit series, Santa Clarita Diet.
The Golden Globe award winner arrived on Sunday at the Naia ahead of the series’ official promo.
At the airport, the 43-year-old star had a group photo with the immigration personnel and posted it on her Instagram account.
In the caption, she wrote: “We have arrived. Safe, as you can see! So many guards I feel like a (sic) alterna grunge princess.”
The last time Barrymore visited Manila was in September 2016 to promote her make-up line Flower Beauty.
This time, she is in the country again, along with actor Timothy Olyphant, her co-star in Santa Clarita Diet.
The original Netflix series is a comedy-horror that explores the struggle of living life as a flesh-eating zombie in suburbia.
Now on its second season, the series takes viewers back to the life of Sheila Hammond (Barrymore) and her family as she struggles with her now more advanced and more aggressive undead state.
With the help of her husband, Joel (Olyphant), and their daughter, Abby (Liv Hewson), they try to discover the origins of the virus to keep it from spreading and to save humanity—all the while trying to maintain a normal life.
