PDEA seizes P 53M worth of drugs in a month

The Philipine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA) has come out with an accomplishment report.

PDEA Director General Aaron Aquino says, for a period of one month, the agency was able to confiscate 53 million pesos worth of illegal drugs.

This is from October 10 to November 10 this year.

The haul is 200 percent higher than PDEA's achievement in the previous month.

PDEA enforced 404 arrests in 1,342 anti-drug operations nationwide.

Aquino also noted that PDEA is going after high-value targets like the so-called drug queen Yu Yuk Lai, who allegedly remains to be involved in illegal drug trade despite her detention at the Correctional Institute for Women in Mandaluyong City.
