Romualdez, Tingog thank Sara, voters for support

Congressional candidate Martin Romualdez and his wife, Tingog Party-list First Nominee Yedda Marie M. Kittilstvedt-Romualdez, on Monday thanked their endorsers and supporters led by Davao City Mayor Sara Duterte Carpio, hoping for positive election results.

Duterte-Carpio, chairman of the regional party Hugpong ng Pagbabago, endorsed Tingog of Yedda Romualdez, the congresswoman of the First District of Leyte and chairman of the House committee on accounts, and Martin Romualdez, a three-term Leyte congressman who is president of the Lakas-Christian Muslim Democrats and the Philippine Constitution Association.

“From the bottom of our hearts, we are thanking once again our endorsers led by Mayor Sara and all our supporters. Thank you for believing in us,” the Romualdez couple said in a statement as they ended the campaign period on a positive note.

“We gave our very best during the campaign to win the people’s support and we are now at this stage where people vote for the leaders they want to serve the country,” the Romualdez couple said.

The Romualdez couple cast their votes at the Polling Precinct #0480B of V&G De la Cruz Memorial Elementary School at Barangay No. 96 in Tacloban City.

Their son Andrew Julian Romualdez also voted at the Polling Precinct #0479A of the same school.

Mrs. Juliette Gomez Romualdez, mother of Martin Romualdez, cast her vote at the San Fernando Elementary School in Tacloban City.

The Romualdez couple also called on the electorate to continue their vigilance in safeguarding their votes to protect the integrity of the 2019 midterm polls.
