President Rodrigo Duterte delivered a short speech at the Philippine Military Academy Alumni Homecoming in Baguio City on Saturday morning.

He thanked the PMA Alumni Association Inc. (PMAAAI) for making him an “honorary member,” elevating him from his earlier status of being an adopted member of the PMA “Dimasupil” Class of 1967.

Duterte expressed his appreciation to the alumni organization for having specified that its harmonious relationship with the Chief Executive is the reason for the honorary membership, and not due to political consideration.

Duterte noted the possible threat that may come from terror group ISIS, with Abu Sayyaf leader Isnilon Japilon now reportedly at the helm of its local base in Mindanao.

He ordered the Armed Forces of the Philippines (AFP) to use all its assets to crush local terrorism.

He ended his remarks with the words, “Pilipinas na nararapat sa Pilipino. Pilipinong nararapat sa Pilipinas (Philippines fit for Filipinos, Filipinos fit for the Philippines).”
