Philippine National Police (PNP) Chief Ronald Dela Rosa tells cops to arrest anyone caught selling illegal drugs.
Dela Rosa says, even if “police-initiated drug operations” have stopped, when a cop sees a crime happening, it is his duty to arrest the offender.
“Pag nakita nyo na nagbebenta sa harap ninyo, hulihin nyo (if you see that drugs are being sold in front of you, arrest the seller)!” he said.
Police-initiated operations cover the issuance of search warrants against drug suspects and drug buy-bust operations.
Dela Rosa said, PNP will now focus on solving other crimes murder, homicide, theft, robbery, physical injuries, carnapping and rape.
He also added, the police organization will undergo internal cleansing before it resumes its war on drugs.
Dela Rosa made these statements in a press conference at the PNP Headquarters in Camp Crame, Quezon City on Monday morning.
