The 5-man panel of the Department of Justice (DOJ) continues on Wednesday afternoon its second preliminary investigation into the five drug-related charges filed against Senator Leila De Lima.
De Lima did not attend the hearing and instead sent a counsel on her behalf.
Her lawyer reiterated the Senator’s request that the investigation be transferred from the DOJ to the Ombudsman.
De Lima had earlier maintained that the DOJ does not have jurisdiction over the cases.
