NASUGBU, Batangas—SM Foundation Inc. has turned over a newly-renovated multipurpose hall in Barangay Calayo here in partnership with Manila South Coast Development Corp., a member of the SM Group of Companies.

The foundation also sponsored the distribution of PhilHealth cards to 188 beneficiaries in five barangays of Nasugbu, Bulihan, Looc, Papaya, and Calayo.

The turnover of the multipurpose hall coincided with the medical mission of MSCDC, which spearheaded the activities last July 5.

Present during the ribbon cutting of the new Calayo multipurpose hall are (from left) Edward Domingo, OIC of Security and Representative of Col. Palomares, engineer Wilfredo Baylosis of MSDC, engineer Mario D. Chavez, MSDC Site Administrator, Barangay Chairman Guillerma D. Alegado and the village council members of Calayo.

The renovated building was divided into two areas by an accordion partition to optimize the use of space. Half will be used as a day care center with school desks and the other half as a center for the elderly. The center is complete with a decent wash area and toilet along with wall fans for the comfort of its beneficiaries.

This is the 145th health and wellness center, housed in a multipurpose hall, the foundation has renovated and will benefit the young and the elderly of Calayo.
