That’s the question in the minds of many Kapuso followers after Janine Gutierrez move to the management tean of Leo Dominguez confirmed to this writer by her mother, Lotlot de Leon.
“That’s right,” Lotlot avers. “I arrived at this decision because apart from my own acting career, which also needs my attention, I’m also very busy in handling our restaurant business in Parañaque. Given these conditions, I prefer that someone will really focus on Janine and help her explore new possibilities in her career!”
Some quarters are eager to know regarding the choice of Leo to be her daughter’s new manager.
“Oh, it’s because Janine idolizes Lovi Poe and Solenn Heussaff who are both Leo’s talents. She loves those two girls and want to follow in their footsteps. When I called up Leo and asked if he’s interested to handle Janine, he readily approved and said he’s been following her career. What’s good is that Leo and I have the same visions for Janine so I’m certain that he’s the best choice.”
According to Lotlot, she and Janine mutually agreed on this new development.
“Well, we’ve been talking about this even before,” she reveals. “It’s just that we’ve had no chance to sit down and really formalize things since a lot of endorsement contracts came in. We just opted to let things in status quo and see where it would lead. Until I asked her again if she would like to be handled by a new manager who can really focus on her. Janine told me that if I think it’s best for her, then it’s fine with her. That’s where it started!”
With this new set-up, people are curious if Janine would remain as a Kapuso.
“As of now, her contract with GMA is under negotiations. Leo will take care of that. We’re very grateful to the station because they’ve been instrumental in what Janine reached so far in the ‘biz. Since the start, GMA has been influential in her career. It would all depend on the talks between Leo and the management as to their plans for Janine in the coming years!”
Fans want to confirm if Janine is already in a relationship with Rayver Cruz.
“Honestly, I don’t know! Ha-ha-ha! It would be best if you’ll ask them directly. As far as I know though, they’re still in the dating stage.”
The award-winning actress has strong confidence in her lovely daughter.
“Janine has a good head on her shoulders. I trust her decisions. For one, she’s already of age, right? Wherever she finds happiness, I’ll support her,” says Lotlot.
