North Cotabato was hit by a bomb explosion on Friday.
The incident happened along Kidapawan-President Roxas National Highway near a bridge in Barangay Sikitan in Arakan town at past 9 in the morning.
The blast injured law enforcers identified as Police Officer Espanola and Amerilla, a non-uniformed personnel.
The two victims were heading to the provincial police headquarters in Barangay Amas on board a police mobile when they were hit by the explosion.
Espanola and Amerilla were brought to a hospital.
Investigators suspect the New Peoples’ Army (NPA) is behind the attack.
A day before, soldiers from the Philippine Army’s 39th Infantry Battalion overran the rebels’ camp in Barangay Salat.
Two NPAs were said to have been wounded in the clash.
