Probe launched for latest blast involving an NGCP tower

The National Grid Corporation of the Philippines (NGCP) is again confronted by a bombing attack.

The latest incident took place in its transmission tower in Aleosan, Cotabato.

Four posts were destroyed when an explosion hit NGCP’s Tower number 68 (Kibawe-Kabacan 138 kilovolts) in Barangay Pagangan.

Investigators say, at least four explosive devices were used in the blast that occured at about 10 pm on Tuesday.

The NGCP says, the perpetrators only aggravate the burden of the public who suffer from power outages whenever transmission towers are bombed.

Authorities are finding out who are the persons or groups behind the latest explosion.
