Meet the ‘Youngest’ change-makers in Forbes 2017 list of 30 under 30

Being young has never been an advantage as it is today. Forbes recently released its annual list of 30 under 30, a gathering of today’s young change-makers who are bold and skilled enough to challenge rules and conventions as well as succeed in various industries.

Here are the 30 youngest of Forbes’s 600 honorees in 2017 who prove that “you’re never too young to achieve real success.”

Aditya Agarwalla, 23

This Princeton University drop out is part of the Social Entrepreneurs list for his Kisan Network, which he founded to serve as an online marketplace for small-scale farmers in India.

Simone Biles, 19

An honoree for Sports, Biles is an American gymnast who has already won four Olympic gold medals. 

Alessia Cara, 20

This young Canadian pop-star first made waves on YouTube. She sung the theme song for Disney movie Moana. 

Keiana Cave, 18

The teenage founder of Mare, a startup company dedicated to inventing molecules to solve major social problems such as oil spill toxins, notched a spot in Energy category.

James Charles, 17

An honoree for Art & Style, this high school senior makeup artist is named the first male ambassador of makeup brand CoverGirl in 2016.

RJ Cyler, 21

Blue Ranger in the upcoming Power Rangers film is on Forbes list for Hollywood & Entertainment.

Daya, 18

The “Sit Still, Look Pretty” and ‘Hide Away” singer has a bright future ahead of her as she is listed on the Music category.

Desiigner, 19

This young musician made it to the airwaves with his hip hop song “Panda,” gaining him a spot in the Music category.  

Elle Fanning, 18

The youngest Fanning sister is making a name for herself as she recently starred in Disney’s Maleficent.

Elliot Fletcher, 20

An honoree for Hollywood & Entertainment category, the Faking It star is one of the few trans actors onscreen.

Skyler Grey, 16

This Los Angeles high schooler has painted murals at the Four Seasons in Dubai and outside the Cipriani building in Abu Dhabi, some of the reasons that gained him a spot in the Art & Style category.

Lucas Hedges, 20

His portrayal of a teen whose father dies of heart condition in Manchester by the Sea has won over critics and Forbes’s panel of judges, giving him the honor of being part of the Hollywood & Entertainment category.

Cody James, 21

This Robotics Programmer, who has already worked at Boeing and Textron and now working on advanced manufacturing for future aircraft, is one of the 30 under 30 in Manufacturing & Industry. 

Kylie Jenner, 19

Aside from her reality TV fame, this young star is recognized for her Kylie Cosmetics brand which is said to have earned seven figures in revenues last year alone, thus gaining her a spot in Retail & E-Commerce. 

Chloe Kim, 16

This Team USA member became the first American woman to win a gold medal in snowboarding at the Winter Youth Olympic Games, a recognition that made her a deserving honoree for the Sports category.
