Galderma Philippines, the distributor of gentle cleanser Cetaphil, recently launched its body wash variant to complete its range of products for the whole family.
The Cetaphil Ultra Gentle Body Wash is made with an effective yet gentle formula clinically proven to strengthen and protect even the most sensitive skin.
“Cetaphil Ultra Gentle Body Wash has low pH, fragrance-free, panthenol, aloe vera, and gentle surfactants. These are the five factors you should look for in a body wash,” said Galderma Philippines consumer business unit head Jade Silva-Netto Ponoc.
According to Galderma, the “Big 5” essential factors are crucial in keeping skin healthy, supple, and moisturized. They also address the problems related to dry and sensitive skin, such as itching and redness.
The skin’s pH is acidic and many of the biochemical reactions occurring in the skin only work within a narrow pH range. Cetaphil Ultra Gentle Body Wash has a pH of 5 thus it helps the skin repair itself.
The cleanser has done away with fragrance to avoid the possibility of irritation or allergies to fragrance mix.
Cetaphil said fragrance in products can irritate skin, hence individuals with dry and/or sensitive skin are advised to look for cleansers like Cetaphil Ultra Gentle Body Wash, which is fragrance-free and hypoallergenic.
Further, the gentle body wash is formulated with panthenol, a provitamin of vitamin B5, which helps increase skin hydration and improves the barrier of the skin.
Cetaphil Ultra Gentle Body Wash helps improve skin’s moisture levels thanks to aloe vera, a humectant. Cleansers with moisturizing ingredients help prevent the skin from being stripped of essential factors.
Finally, the body wash uses a mixture of surfactants (sodium laureth sulfate, in combination with cocamidopropyl betaine, among others). Research showed that mixture of surfactants, compared to a single surfactant, make for gentle cleansers.
Galderma Philippines’ launch was attended by Galderma executives, Cetaphil brand ambassador Sarah Lahbati, and other celebrities and personalities.
