This corner features pets of animal lovers every week. We hope new owners and those thinking of getting a pet will be encouraged to be responsible “furparents” through these features. We also hope more people will be moved to be kind to animals when they read about the great relationship that can be created between humans and animals.

My Furry Bestie

Keesey was 10 months old when he became a part of EA Bartolome’s family.

“The night we got him, it's like he knew us, and without hesitation, he jumped in the car with us, “says EA.

Since then, he has filled their home with love. EA’s daughter (in the photo with Keesey)  simply adores him.

“He is a blessing! And he's a healthy 10-year doggo year or 70 years old in human years,” EA adds.

POPOY  was a puppy when he was rescued by Ena Roldan. This rescued asong Pinoy (aspin) was malnourished, infested with ticks and fleas, and was suffering from demodectic mange (galis) when he was found on the street.

With love, attention, and care, he grew up to be a sweet, confident doggy whose happiness is a rub behind his ears from his humans.  He is now seven years old.

“He truly is a fun dog who gets along well with our two rescued cats. Just look how pogi (handsome)  and healthy he is right now!” Ena says.
