This corner features pets of animal lovers every week. We hope new owners and those thinking of getting a pet will be encouraged to be responsible “furparents” through these features. We also hope more people will be moved to be kind to animals when they read about the great relationship that can be created between humans and animals.

FOXIE is a rescued dog adopted by Eleanor Agulto.

“Ours is an equal opportunity household for dogs. Big, small, pedigreed or not, we love them all. Foxie was almost dog meat until CARA came to her rescue,” Eleanor says.

She adds,”I now have 11 doggos with me. Yes, they're quite a handful, but hey, they have this amazing ability to soothe all my stress away!”

SUGAR , another rescued dog who is black and tan, is now  being fostered by Eleanor Agullto

“Sugar is staying with us until her mama, who's now abroad, gets settled and sends for her,” says Eleanor.

NANO, 11 months, is the youngest furbaby of Joy Gallarpe but she is also the most “hyper” in the pack.

“She is a super hyper dog. She always jumps and ‘ikot ng ikot’ (she goes round and round) because she gets so excited when she sees one of us in the house, “ Joy says.

Nano is short for “unano”  or dwarf  because she is the smallest dog in the household, Joy says.

“We rescued her when she was  about to be hit by a vehicle on a busy road in Deparo, Caloocan City.  She was so small that drivers hardly noticed her. So we decided to stop and get her,” Joy recalls.

“She is a jolly dog. She make me happy and I laugh a lot because of her antics. She also taught me to relax and remain calm all the time.” Joy adds.
