Wrap and roll

Prepare some wraps and roll ups for your next beach getaway, road trip, or picnic. Here are three recipe ideas:

King Sue Paella Burrito

2 tbsp        olive oil

1 pc        small onion, minced

1 pc        small tomato, diced

1 pc        small green bell pepper, diced

1 pc         chicken breast, cut into strips

½ slice    King Sue Chorizo Filipino

3 slices    King Sue Ham

¼ tsp         paprika

1 cup         cooked rice

        tortilla salt and pepper

Heat the pan and pour in olive oil.

Sauté the chorizo for a few seconds, then remove it from the pan and set aside.

Sauté chicken breast strips in onion and tomato, and let the chicken cook for a few minutes.

Add in the ham and chorizo, and season it with paprika, salt, and pepper.

Add in the cooked rice, turn off the heat, and add the bell pepper.

Wait till it’s done then serve on plate or wrapped in tortilla.

Aloha King Sue Wrap Sandwich

1 pc         flour tortilla, 10-inch in diameter

1 pc         canned pineapple

2 slices     King Sue Hawaiian Ham

2 pcs        King Sue Chicken Nuggets, strips

King Sue Bacon Bits, cooked crisp

        lettuce leaves

        mayonnaise (as needed)

        grated cheese

Spread mayonnaise on tortilla, leaving a half inch border around the outside.

Arrange the lettuce leaves in the center of the tortilla, leaving a border of about 2 inches.

Arrange the pineapple, ham, chicken, cheese, and bacon bits on top of the lettuce.

To roll the wrap, first fold the uncovered rim of the tortilla on opposite edges of the circle toward the center. Roll the tortilla tightly. The mayonnaise on the edge of the tortilla will help seal it closed.

Taco Ala King Sue

1 pc         white onion, diced

3 slices     King Sue Pear-shaped Ham, diced

¼ tsp         ground cumin

2 pcs        taco shells

½ cup     lettuce, shredded

1 pc        tomato, diced

1 tbsp        salsa        oil

        shredded cheddar cheese

        salt and black pepper

In a deep sauté pan over medium-high heat, add enough oil to completely coat the bottom of the pan.

Add the onion and sauté until translucent, about 5 minutes.

Add the ham and season with cumin, salt, and pepper. Cook until the ham browns and is cooked through.

Divide the ham mixture among the taco shells.

Place the lettuce in the tacos, followed by  diced tomatoes and shredded cheese. Top each taco with salsa, if desired.
