ABaKaDa: Himig + Titik, a photo exhibit of educational spaces around the metro held recently at SM Aura, showcased the vision of the pioneer batch of Interior Design (ID) graduates of De La Salle-College of Saint Benilde (DLS-CSB).

The show featured images of daycare centers in Manila that were renovated following their own design aesthetic while incorporating nostalgic concepts derived from traditional nursery rhymes.

Whealth Inc. has been sponsoring a matinee show of the Ballet Philippines Christmas performance for underprivileged kids for the past 10 years

The program presented the development of these institutions, from the ground up, which distinctively portrayed a singular entity in all the daycare centers. The exhibit led to the journey of transformation, unveiling secrets through a display of photographs, and video presentations. As a highlight, physical miniature models of each daycare center, finished and in its current appearance were likewise displayed.

With the assistance of DLS-CSB’s Center for Social Action, an organization which actively institutes changes within society, several barangays in the college’s neighborhood were tapped for the endeavor.

With this undertaking, the ID students familiarized the viewing public with the college’s vision to provide inclusive avenues for education, as well as an appreciation of interior design as a discipline distinct from architecture.
