No matter how often people visit Cebu, the island province always has something that draws travelers back to unwind. With its gorgeous beaches, stunning views, and historical landmarks, the beautiful city of Cebu has become one of the most popular travel destinations in the Philippines.

While they go out and about in the city, travelers still make it a point to look for a comfortable place to stay, which reflects the captivating aspects of Cebu that they’ve all come to love while bearing the comely feeling of a home away from home.

Local hotel chain Seda Hotels offers two premier hotels for travelers looking for cozy accommodations in the charming city—Seda Central Bloc Cebu and Seda Ayala Center Cebu.

Seda Ayala Center’s lobby features locally sourced furniture and decor which give a modern yet comfy vibe

Serving as the eldest of the two sister hotels, Seda Ayala Center is found at the heart of the bustling city’s Cebu Business Park. Prior to its rebranding in 2018, the building once stood as part of the Marriott Hotels & Resorts brand for 20 years. Now, it functions under the Seda brand as its 8th hotel in the country.

The hotel offers 301 rooms with various room types ranging from Deluxe Rooms, Club Rooms, and Jr Suites. It also has two Club Suites and a Seda Suite, which are the two largest room types in the entire hotel with 66 and 88 sqm, respectively.

Guests can also utilize the various amenities that the hotel offers during their stay such as the swimming pool and pool bar, the state-of-the-art fitness center, the sleek club lounge, and Seda’s restaurant Misto. It also has several function rooms with varying capacities which can house events ranging from simple get-togethers to large company functions.

Seda Central Bloc offers serviced apartments for long-staying guests

Apart from its aesthetics, Seda Ayala Center also fosters sustainability in its operations as it has its own water system which utilizes the reverse osmosis water purification process to ensure that water is not wasted but is also clean to use. It also practices pruning and replanting of greens in its public areas and is in partnership with waste management firm GUUN.

Meanwhile, the Seda Central Bloc is one of the younger hotels under the Seda brand, being its 11th hotel in the country. Opening last February 2020, the hotel is located in Cebu IT Park, which is the city’s newest business district and is only a few minutes away from Seda Ayala Center. It has easy access to Ayala Malls Central Bloc through its fifth floor, giving guests a convenient way to explore various dining, retail, and entertainment options.

Compared to its sister hotel, Seda Central Bloc offers both hotel rooms and serviced residences for both short and long stays. For hotel rooms, guests can choose between king or twin-sized beds for their Deluxe Rooms, which also include a multi-purpose table, a chaise lounge, and a swivel chair. Each room has a media panel, HDMI, USB, and audio-visual connectivity as well as an LED HD TV, IDD phone, a mini-bar, a coffee and tea maker, and a safety deposit box.

Meanwhile, the hotel’s serviced residences offer four types which are the studio room, one-bedroom, two-bedroom, and three-bedroom units. Every unit has a kitchenette which includes a refrigerator, an induction cooktop with range, a microwave oven, and a kitchen kettle. Starting with the one-bedroom unit, the bigger rooms also offer a washer/dryer as well as a lounge chair and coffee table. The three-bedroom unit is the only one that offers a bathtub.

While it offers almost the same amenities as Seda Ayala Center such as a swimming pool, function rooms, a gym, and Misto, Seda Central Bloc features a rooftop bar called Straight-Up, which boasts a spectacular view of the city’s skyline.

Cebu’s Seda Ayala Center and Seda Central Bloc join Seda’s roster of high-quality hotels which are Seda Capitol Central in Bacolod, Seda Centrio in Cagayan de Oro, Seda Abreeza in Davao, Seda Atria in Iloilo, Seda Nuvali in Laguna, Seda Residences Makati in Makati, Seda Lio in Palawan, Seda Manila Bay in Parañaque, Seda Vertis North in Quezon, and Seda BGC in Taguig.
