AS part of Quezon City’s continuing commitment to aid businesses, Mayor Herbert Bautista will lead on March 9 the launching of a business one-stop shop to help startups and issue permits simpler and easier.

Trade Secretary Ramon Lopez, Interior Undersecretary Austere Panadero and co-chairperson Guillermo Luz of the National Competitiveness Council have been invited to attend the formal introduction of the city’s simplified procedure for business registration, cutting the process down to two easy steps.

Bautista will also introduce to Lopez the city’s all-in-one center for construction permits, providing a centralized center for receiving and evaluating applications for building permits, occupancy permits, fire safety inspection and applications for electric utility meters.

The one-stop-shop is located at the 14th floor of the city hall main building to provide express processing to applicants securing building and occupancy permits for structures with a maximum floor area of 1,500 square meters.

The mayor issued Executive Order No. 11 to pave the way for the one-stop shop in providing frontline services.

Featuring a concierge, the shop houses in one location the evaluators of the business permits and licensing office, zoning for the locational clearance, and the Bureau of Fire Protection for the fire safety inspection, to give applicants an easy time to transact their business without having to go to different offices.
