Eco Waste Coalition and other environmental groups gathered at the Quezon Memorial Circle in observance of the International Lead Poisoning Prevention Week, as they aired their concerns over the amount of lead that are present in paint materials. They emphasized the need for workers education on lead handling safety at the workplace as lead released into the environment through repairs, removal and renovation, and demolition can be hazardous to the health of the workers and consumers.
