The Philippines national hero Dr. Jose Rizal, who would have been 157 years old Tuesday, can be read online for free today with the manga—a comic-strip book—available in English and Japanese on manga.club and in Japanese on sukima.me. Takuro Ando, representative of the publisher Torico, CCC, says the manga will have 100 pages and would detail Rizal’s life. New pages will be released every Tuesday. ‘Japan, too, was affected by the genius of Rizal, who had changed his country not through violence but through his knowledge and hard work,’ Ando says.
