Senator Cynthia A. Villar enjoys touring the Flower Area at the Quezon City Memorial Circle while enjoying the beauty of the local waling waling and other orchids in bloom during the 71st Midyear Orchid Show. Villar, chairman of the Senate committees on agriculture and food and environment, led the ribbon-cutting ceremony in the event sponsored by the Philippine Orchid Society in cooperation with Quezon City government, Quezon City Memorial Administration, and the special participation of Villar SIPAG, Del Monte Philippines and other plant society groups. Also on display are bonsai and succulent plants, garden accessories and fertilizers. The event included a trade fair, landscape exhibits, plant and orchid competitions, and daily lectures.
