Isoc Infrastructure Inc. and Malaysian partner Edotco Group Sdn. Bhd. signed a memorandum of agreement with the Department of Information and Communications Technology to construct common towers in the Philippines.
The agreement with DICT came a week after Isoc and Edotco agreed to collaborate with Globe Telecom Inc., making the latter the first local telecommunication operator to adopt the government’s common tower policy.
“We commend the DICT through the leadership of Information and Communications Technology acting Secretary Eliseo Rio Jr. in ensuring this initiative takes off as it is vital to state interest that common towers be made available,” Isoc chairman Michael Cosiquien said in a statement.
“This landmark agreement affirms ISOC’s contribution to the Duterte administration’s vision of improving telecommunications infrastructure and services in the country,” he said.
