Internet Removals, an Australian company that specializes in removing or disabling false, malicious or unwanted content on the Internet, is bringing its services to the Philippines.
Officially established in 2015, Internet Removals offers its services to companies and individuals who want false, harmful, defamatory, potentially illegal or personal information removed from Google, social media sites such as Facebook, community groups, web forums and websites around the globe.
It also offers other services such as content monitoring, digital footprint analysis, and account recovery or removal.
The company said it had removed more than 55,000 URLs for thousands of clients so far.
“Our content removal application process has successfully removed all types of content on over 55,421 occasions [as of Jan. 19, 2019]. We provide our clients this service whereby we draft, submit and manage applications for the removal of potentially illegal content from the internet,” it said.
Among the examples of content it removed are negative reviews, revenge porn, doxing, film piracy, counterfeiting, unauthorized social media pages, impersonation, and spam reviews.
The company works within the reputation management industry and plans to team up with public relations and marketing companies in the Philippines.
It is present in more than 32 countries and has offices in the United States, UAE, the United Kingdom, the Philippines, Malaysia and Indonesia.
Content removal applies to search results, image results, revenge porn, pirated content, intellectual property infringement, copyright infringement, social media sites, account recovery, websites and web pages, images and videos, business reviews and app store reviews.
