The joint venture of Ayala Corp. and SM Investments Corp. may revise the alignment of its unsolicited proposal to build an elevated expressway linking the cities of Manila and Pasay through the Ayala central business district because of the conflict with a road project of the Public Works Department.

“There might be some technical [issues].  That’s why we are reviewing it [the C3 Elevated Expressway]. We are still studying the effects to our existing projects.  That’s why we are studying it,” Public Works Secretary Mark Villar said.

“We have our own C3 project going to Makati,” Villar said.

Villar said his agency had asked AC Infrastructure Holdings Corp., the joint venture of Ayala and SM, to submit a full feasibility study for the proposed P25-billion C3 Elevated Expressway.  “The process will start once they submit the requirements,” Villar said.

The elevated toll road will run about 8.6 kilometers, linking Sta. Mesa, Manila to the Mall of Asia Complex in Pasay City.
