SM Supermalls broke ground for its eighth mall in Cavite province on an 11-hectare property in Barangay Pasong Camachile II, General Trias City on June 14, 2024.
Mayor Luis Ferrer IV and SM Supermalls president Steven Tan led the dropping and burying of the time capsule for the formal start of construction of what could be the “most modern SM City in Cavite”.
The mall will have 67,982 square meters of gross floor area, 1,115 parking slots and a transport terminal.
“We are confident that General Trias is a prime destination to be a formidable local partner to a world-class shopping, dining and entertainment hub for the modern and young community. It will be easier to reach with the opening of Calax, Cavitex and MRT- Cavite extension project,” said Tan.
Ferrer said it is about time for General Trias to have its own SM mall.
This will be the eighth SM mall in the province, after SM City Bacoor, SM City Dasmariñas, SM City Molino, SM City-Rosario, SM City Trece Martires, SM City Tanza and SM Center Imus.
