BANGKOK, THAILAND — MR.DIY Philippines has been recognized for its leadership excellence and commitment to inclusive growth after winning two major awards at the Asian Management Excellence Awards, one of the region’s most respected platforms honoring outstanding leadership, innovation, and organizational impact.
The company received the following accolades:
- Philippines Executive of the Year – Retail, awarded to Roselle Marisol Belleza Andaya, Chief Executive Officer of MR.DIY Philippines
- Philippines Diversity and Inclusion Initiative of the Year – Retail, for its pioneering Store Internship Program for Neurodiverse Learners
These recognitions affirm MR.DIY Philippines’ approach to growth—one that balances strong business performance with meaningful social impact.
Executive Leadership Rooted in Purpose and Performance
Roselle Andaya was named Philippines Executive of the Year – Retail in recognition of her visionary, people-first leadership that has guided MR.DIY Philippines into one of the country’s fastest-growing and most socially committed retail organizations.

Under her leadership, MR.DIY Philippines expanded from a small network of stores in 2018 to over 900 locations nationwide, reaching hundreds of cities and municipalities, including underserved communities.
Her disciplined focus on operational excellence, ethical governance, and affordability has enabled the brand to sustain rapid growth while remaining accessible to Filipino households.
As the first female CEO within the MR.DIY Group, Andaya has also championed inclusive workplace practices, strengthened governance standards, and embedded sustainability and community partnership into the company’s core business strategy—setting new benchmarks for modern retail leadership in the Philippines.
Opening Doors for Neurodiverse Talent
MR.DIY Philippines was also honored with the Philippines Diversity and Inclusion Initiative of the Year – Retail for its Store Internship Program for Neurodiverse Learners, a pilot initiative designed to provide meaningful retail experience to students on the autism spectrum.

Developed in partnership with specialized learning institutions, the program integrates neurodiverse interns directly into store operations, with customized schedules, on-site teacher support, and inclusivity training for store teams.
Rather than functioning as a traditional CSR initiative, the program was intentionally embedded into day-to-day retail operations—demonstrating how inclusive employment can be both impactful and sustainable.
The pilot has delivered positive outcomes for interns, families, and store teams alike, improving confidence and employability among participants while fostering stronger teamwork and empathy within host stores. The initiative is now positioned for expansion, with plans to scale to additional locations and strengthen pathways from internship to employment.
Setting a Standard for Retail Excellence
The twin wins at the Asian Management Excellence Awards highlight MR.DIY Philippines’ belief that business success and social responsibility go hand in hand. From leadership and governance to inclusive employment and community engagement, the company continues to demonstrate how retail can serve as a platform for empowerment, opportunity, and shared growth. As MR.DIY Philippines continues to expand its footprint nationwide, these recognitions reinforce its commitment to leading with impact—opening more stores, creating more opportunities, and building a more inclusive future for Filipino communities.
