MANILA (October 28, 2024) – The Government Service Insurance System (GSIS) launches the Multi-Purpose Loan (MPL) Lite program to help its members and pensioners quickly bridge or cover unexpected expenses and temporary budget gaps, the GSIS said.
The Multi-Purpose Loan (MPL) Lite is a ‘quick loan’ program open until October 24, 2025, tailored specifically to support members and pensioners, offering accessible financing that ranges from ₱5,000 to ₱50,000 with flexible repayment terms of six (6) to twenty-four (24) months.
The small loans are quick disbursing with competitive interest rates of 6% or 7% annually, based on years of service. It includes a one-time loan redemption insurance fully deducted upfront without fees for early repayment. MPL Lite is available in the GSIS Touch mobile app, which simplifies the application process anytime and from anywhere.

With instant e-crediting, hassle-free way to access funds and streamlined application process, government workers have a safe and reliable financial option at their fingertips,” GSIS President and General Manager Wick Veloso said.
Applications are processed through the GSIS Touch mobile app, ensuring a seamless, paperless experience. Once approved, funds are credited within 1 to 2 banking days. Members with active MPL Flex accounts benefit from no service fees on MPL Lite loans.
