Reyes: As long as we have guys who can walk, we fight

Two key players, Poy Erram and Simon Enciso, won’t be around when the TNT Tropang 5G again try to stay alive against the San Miguel Beermen in Game 6 of the 49th Philippine Basketball Association Philippine Cup Finals on Friday.

Erram won’t play because of a meniscus tear on his left knee that was discovered through a medical scan. He has not suited up for the second time since Wednesday.

On other hand, Enciso already missed Game 4 due to a fractured orbital bone in one eye, an injury he sustained in Game 3 when he got elbowed by Marcio Lassiter.

Gametime is 7:30 p.m. at the Philsports Arena.

“Whatever it takes, without Poy and Simon, as long as we have guys who can walk, we’re gonna keep fighting,” said Reyes.

Last Wednesday, the Tropang 5G fought back and spoiled the Beermen’s party with an 86-78 victory.

The Tropang 5G went on to notch their second triumph in their best-of-seven series, to trail the Beermen at 2-3.

Meanwhile, the Beermen will try to wrap things up again and shoot for their 12th Philippine Cup crown.

“This is a good team (TNT). Hindi sila basta-basta bibigay. Kailangan namin paghirapan. May isa pang game na kailangang makabawi,” said Beerman CJ Perez on behalf of coach Leo Austria.
