THE Philippine Sportswriters Association Forum celebrates National Women’s Month and will have no less than legendary bowler and sports commissioner Oliva ‘Bong’ Coo as special guest in Tuesday’s session (March 17) at the Philippine Sports Commission media room.
Coo is going to talk about her pet project the PSC Women in Sports Awards which will be held on March 20 at the PICC.
In collaboration with the government sports agency, the awards ceremony is part of the PSC Women in Sports program geared to promote gender exclusivity and recognize excellence across all levels, including elite, para athletes, and masters.
Now in its third year, the event was first held in 2024 at the Rizal Memorial Coliseum before holding it at the Century Park Hotel last year.
Presented by San Miguel Corporation, PSC, Philippine Olympic Committee, MILO, and the country’s 24/7 sports app ArenaPlus, the session starts at 10:30 a.m.
