Having shrugged off the rust of a long break, the North Division champion Weavers are favored to repeat over the South Kings in the best-of-five series. Top Gun Dave Ildefonso, Encho Serrano, Brickman, Ayonayon, Uduba and twin towers Geo Chiu and Raven Gonzales will again lead the Weavers’ charge against the Huskers, who were hampered by their 3 of 10 performance from the charity stripe.

The Huskers, who proved that they are at par with the Weavers, will lean on Ljay Gonzales, Christian Pagaran, Simone Sandagon. Joseph Gabayni, Alfrancis Tamsi and Gab Banal in their bid to level the series.

If they fail to do so, the Huskers will put up their fiercest stand at their homecourt—Quezon Convention Center÷÷in Game Three on Tuesday. Abra Weavers team owner Rep. JB Bernos echoed the sentiment of Abrenos to the heart-pounding win.

“A miracle happened tonight, not once but twice! Thank you, THE ONE ABOVE! ,” Bernos posted on Facebook.
