K-pop girl group Blackpink is making its comeback with the release of new music next month.
On Wednesday, Jan. 14, the four-member act announced that its third extended play titled “Deadline” is set for release on Feb. 27.
Blackpink revealed the news through a teaser video posted on its official social media platforms. The EP will drop at 12:00 p.m. Philippine time. The 19-second teaser did not disclose details about the track list or musical concept.
“Deadline” marks Blackpink’s first major group release since its 2022 full-length album “Born Pink,” which spawned global hits such as “Pink Venom” and “Shut Down.” The group last released a group single, “Jump,” in July 2025 as a pre-release track for the upcoming EP. Prior to that, their most recent group recording was “The Girls,” released in 2023 for a mobile game.
The EP shares its title with Blackpink’s ongoing “Deadline World Tour,” which included two sold-out shows at the Philippine Arena in Bulacan last November 2025. During the Manila concerts, Jisoo, Jennie, Rosé, and Lisa performed “Jump” alongside their group hits and solo material.
Consisting of Lisa, Jennie, Rosé, and Jisoon, Blackpink made its debut in 2016 under YG Entertainment.
