Danielle breaks silence after NewJeans exit

Former NewJeans member Danielle Marsh spoke publicly for the first time since her exit from the K-pop group, thanking fans and addressing the ongoing legal dispute surrounding her departure.

On Monday, Jan. 12, during a livestream on her newly launched Instagram account, Danielle said she often found comfort in messages from supporters while remaining largely silent in recent weeks.

“Sometimes late at night, I would read the letters and the messages you sent me,” she said, adding that their support stayed with her.

Danielle said her situation is still unresolved and that she plans to share more details once legal matters are clearer.

“When the time comes, I will update you all about what’s happening with the lawsuit and about all the things that you’re curious about,” she added.

She also addressed speculation about her relationship with the group, saying she fought to remain with her fellow members.

“This is not the end. This is only the beginning,” she stated.

Danielle exited NewJeans in December after record label ADOR terminated her contract and announced plans to pursue legal action involving her family and former ADOR CEO Min Hee Jin.

NewJeans debuted in 2022 and became one of K-pop’s fastest-rising acts before becoming embroiled in a contract dispute with ADOR and parent company HYBE. A Seoul court ruled in October in favor of ADOR, upholding the group’s exclusive contract.
