Actress and singer Maris Racal celebrated her 28th birthday on Monday, Sept. 22, with a wish that went beyond herself.
“It’s my birthday today. Ang wish ko lang ay DPWH. Di Pwede ang Walang Hustisya,” Racal wrote on Instagram, along with photos from a themed photo shoot.
Her post came a day after she joined thousands of Filipinos at Luneta for nationwide protests against alleged multi-trillion peso corruption tied to flood-control and infrastructure projects.
The FPJ’s Batang Quiapo star, who marched alongside fellow celebrities, also posted: “Serbisyo sa tao, huwag gawing negosyo.”
Racal’s call resonated with fans, especially as she marked her birthday with a message of accountability.
She joined a roster of personalities at the rallies, including Vice Ganda, Donny Pangilinan, Anne Curtis, Jasmine Curtis-Smith, Nadine Lustre, Andrea Brillantes, Gabbi Garcia, Julia Barretto, Khalil Ramos, Iza Calzado, and beauty queens Catriona Gray and Nicole Cordoves.
