Actress Yen Santos opened up about a painful chapter in her life, describing her past relationship as a “nightmare.”
In her first YouTube vlog, Yen, without naming her ex, shared how walking away from the relationship was one of the best decisions she ever made. Her last publicly known partner was actor Paolo Contis, who confirmed their relationship in 2023.
“Napakalaking blessing na natapos na ’yun… nagising na ako sa nightmare na ’yun,” she said.
Yen revealed that the relationship was emotionally draining, claiming her former partner was controlling and manipulative.
“That kind of life drains you, and you lose yourself in the process,” she said, warning viewers about “love bombing” and how some people only show their true colors once they gain your trust.
She admitted to justifying toxic behavior and acknowledged hurting people during that time.
“Para po doon sa mga taong nasaktan ko nung mga panahon na ’yun, I am so sorry. Wala po akong excuse dun. Mali po talaga ako. Nagkamali ako,” Yen continued.
Despite her regrets, Yen said she has found peace.
“Ngayon, ang mahalaga, tapos na, and mas maayos na ’yung takbo ng buhay ngayon,” she added.
