Italpinas Development Corp. (IDC) is expanding its reach in the Philippines with five new joint venture agreements, including three exciting projects in Palawan.

Known for its eco-friendly designs and modern architecture, IDC has built a strong reputation for blending contemporary Italian style with the natural beauty of the country’s most vibrant regions.

The three Palawan projects are all located in Puerto Princesa, the capital of the province, which is renowned for its natural wonders. Puerto Princesa is not only the gateway to Palawan but also a popular tourist destination, recently named the “Best Island in the World” by Travel + Leisure magazine. IDC sees this as an ideal place to showcase its environmentally conscious design philosophy.

“Tourism creates livelihoods and can transform local economies. As Palawan continues to attract more visitors, IDC intends to participate in the balancing of growth and conservation, which is a crucial and long-term task,” said IDC president Atty. Jose Leviste.

“We can do this as real-estate developers by bringing our environmentally sound design ethos to set an example for contemporary development that accentuates Palawan’s combination of natural beauty, and environmental responsibility,” he added.

The tourism sector in Palawan has been booming, with a 90 percent increase in visitors from 2022 to 2023, according to local tourism officials.

As the island attracts more tourists, IDC wants to ensure that development goes hand-in-hand with sustainability.

The new developments include residential and mixed-use projects in Palawan, Pampanga, and Boracay, all done in partnership with the Co family, who became key equity partners of IDC in November.

IDC will launch Verona Princesa, a mixed-use development in Bancao-Bancao, Puerto Princesa. This urban oasis will combine condo living with retail spaces and is ideally located near both the airport and the sea. Verona Puerto, located in Tagburos, Puerto Princesa, will offer walk-up condominiums and retail spaces, creating a blend of modernity and tradition.

Another project, Verona Costa Verde, located in Tiniguiban, Puerto Princesa, will feature walk-up condominiums designed with sustainability in mind, offering a peaceful and eco-friendly community.

Verona Puerto, to be built by IDC Homes in Tagburos, Puerto Princesa, will offer a seamless blend of modernity and tradition. On a 5400 square meter lot, this mixed-use development featuring retail spaces as well as walk-up condominium homes will offer excellent value to those seeking convenience as well as elegant design.

IDC is also working on other projects outside Palawan. In Pampanga, Parco Leonardo will be a residential community with 15 hectares of green space, inspired by Italian design. In Boracay, Miramare Residences will bring luxury living to the island with branded residences and a commitment to sustainability.

These new ventures reflect IDC’s dedication to bringing sustainable, high-quality developments to some of the most promising regions in the Philippines, with Palawan taking center stage in its expansion plans.
