LONG BEACH, California – Harmony Francisca Cabie-Quinto, former McDonald’s-National Press Club scholar and regular member of the National Press Club, won this year’s highest individual leadership award from the California-based Coalition of Filipino American Chambers of Commerce (COFACC).
The award was given during the Gala Night at the Marriott Hotel in Long Beach, California on Jan. 25, which coincided with the three-day COFACC’s 2025 Annual Strategic Planning Conference & Small Business Expo.
The conference, which ended Jan. 26, was attended by 45 member chambers from across the United States. It was highlighted by networking, small business expo, celebrating cross-chamber collaboration aimed at strengthening the resilience and sustainability of COFACC and its partner organizations.
It also honored businesses within the Filipino American community—two of which were given to the Philippine American Chamber of Commerce of Southern Colorado: as COFACC Community Impact Chamber and COFACC Imagination & Innovation Chamber.
PACCSoCo, where Cabie-Quinto is incumbent president—concurrently founding president and CEO of the Colorado State Philippine American Chamber of Commerce—was last year’s winner of the Emerging Chamber Award.
This year, the Chamber of the year Award was given to the Orange County in California.
The other nominees were Jocip Sarmiento, president of the Chamber of Greater Los Angeles; Cristina Comstock, president of the Chamber of Jacksonville, Florida; and Ellen Swing, president of the Chamber in Cerritos, California.
Cabie-Quinto, was McDonald’s-NPC scholar at the University of the Philippines in Diliman, where she was chairman for an unprecedented three semesters of the UP Philosophical Society.
She was also national president of the Association of Law Students of the Philippines and president of the Jakarta-based ASEAN Law Students Association when she was still in the Philippines.
Cabie-Quinto is the wife of Iraq combat veteran Chris Quinto. They live in Colorado Springs.
