Jetour’s PHEV lineup grows with T1 lightning i-DM

Another plug-in hybrid electric vehicle (PHEV) enters the local market with the launch of the all-new 2026 Jetour T1 Lightning i-DM. Positioned as a smaller and more accessible alternative to the successful T2 model, the T1 is now available with an introductory price of P1,798,000.

Jetour Auto Philippines Inc. (JAPI), now under the United Asia Automotive Group Inc. (UAAGI) portfolio, made the launch official through a grand ceremony held at Cove Manila in Okada which was attended by key executives, including Ke Chuandeng, President of Jetour Auto International (JAI), Rommel Sytin, Chairman of UAAGI, and JAPI’s Managing Director Miguelito Jose and Executive Director Timothy Sytin.

The “i-DM” designation stands for the vehicle’s Intelligent Dual Motor hybrid powertrain. This system pairs a 1.5-liter gasoline engine with an electric motor to optimize both performance and efficiency. The petrol unit contributes 140 horsepower and 215 Newton-meters of torque, while the electric motor significantly bolsters output with an additional 204 horsepower and 310 Newton-meters. Powering the electric components is a 26.7kWh battery that supports fast charging, capable of replenishing the charge from 30% to 80% in just 30 minutes.

Energy storage is managed by a 26.7 kWh lithium-iron phosphate battery pack, which provides an electric-only range of up to 120 km under the WLTC cycle. Jetour boasts a potential combined range exceeding 1,200 km under ideal conditions.

AC charging via a 7kW charger can replenish the battery from 30% to 80% in less than four hours, while fast DC charging can achieve the same in just 30 minutes. The vehicle also features a convenient vehicle-to-load (V2L) function, allowing users to power external devices.

The T1 Lightning takes design inspiration from the T2, featuring short overhangs, a bold black grille with integrated daytime running lights, and distinct LED headlights. Its 200mm ground clearance is designed for tackling rough roads and light trails. The exterior is completed by 19-inch alloy wheels, side steps, functional roof rails, and a power tailgate with a memory function.

Inside, the driver is presented with a high-resolution 10.25-inch digital instrument panel, complemented by a large 15.6-inch central touchscreen infotainment display. This system runs on a Qualcomm Snapdragon 8155 chipset, offering multi-screen capability, crisp graphics, and standard Apple CarPlay and Android Auto integration. Audio is channeled through a 9-speaker sound system from Sony.

Passenger comfort is addressed with power-adjustable, ventilated front seats (with driver memory function), dual-zone climate control, leather upholstery, and a panoramic sunroof. For a quieter ride, the T1 features a double-glazed windshield. A distinctive feature is the “24-hour parked air-conditioning function,” allowing for cabin cooling even when the vehicle is off.

The 2026 Jetour T1 Lightning i-DM PHEV is being offered at a special introductory price of P1,798,000, a discount from its regular retail price of P1,898,000. The first 100 customers will also receive a complimentary smartwatch.

Available colors include: Night Black, Sand Gold, Green, Silver Snow, and Khaki White.
