A strong earthquake measured at magnitude-3.9 struck the town of Rodriguez in Rizal at 1:20 AM on Monday, according to the Philippine Institute of Volcanology and Seismology (Phivolcs).
Based on its latest information bulletin, Phivolcs traced the epicenter of the quake at 14.81 degrees north 121.32 degrees east – 020 km north 66 degrees east of the town at a depth of 13 kms.

The tremor was felt at Intensity 2 in Quezon City and Marikina.
Phivolcs recorded instrumental intensity 2 in Quezon City; Caloocan City; Antipolo, Rizal; and General Nakar, Quezon.
It also recorded instrumental intensity 1 in Angono, Rizal; Marilao, Bulacan; and Las Piñas.
Phivolcs said no aftershocks are expected from this seismic activity and damage is unlikely.
