PRESIDENT Rodrigo Duterte has reappointed Social Welfare and Development Secretary Judy Taguiwalo, Agrarian Reform Secretary Rafael Mariano, Health Secretary Paulyn Ubial, and Environment Secretary Roy Cimatu pending their confirmation from the Commission on Appointments.
Duterte signed their ad-interim appointment letters on June 1 but Malacañang released the documents only on Tuesday, or over a month after.
The four were not confirmed by the Congress before it closed its session on May 31.
Meanwhile, Duterte has appointed new officials and they are the following:
Sarah Arriola as undersecretary of the Department of Foreign Affairs, vice Jesus Yabes;
Jose Luis Montales as undersecretary of the Department of Foreign Affairs, vice Ariel Abadilla;
Abdulgani Macatoman as assistant secretary of the Department of Trade and Industry;
Antonio Abadan Jr. as a member of the Monetary Board of the Bangko Sentral ng Pilipinas, vice Armando Suratos, and for a term expiring on July 2, 2023;
Felipe Medalla as a member of the Monetary Board for a term expiring on July 2, 2023.
Nestor Espenilla as a member of the Monetary Board, vice Amando Tetangco Jr. and for a term expiring on July 2, 2023;
Peter Favila as a member of the Monetary Board, vice Alfredo Antonio, and for a term expiring on July 2, 2023;
Erwin Enad as a member, in an ex-officio capacity, of the Career Executive Service Board;
Robert Sy Tan as a member of the board of Al-Amanah Islamic Investment Bank of the Philippines.
Meanwhile, Police Senior Supt. Graciano Mijares was promoted to the rank of police chief superintendent; Police Superintendent Joselio Imperial to police senior superintendent, and Police Supt. Nelson Aganon to police senior superintendent.
The others who were promoted to the rank of police chief superintendent were Police Senior Supt. Joseph Adnol, Edgardo Pamittan, Froilan Quidilla, Ramon Rafael, Gerardo Rosales and Israel Dickson.
