Agri, Infra projects part of Villar’s priority agenda

Senatorial candidate Camille Villar vowed to continue projects that will benefit the agriculture sector and further improve infrastructure in the country if she is elected as senator in the May midterm polls.

This developed as first district Lanao del Norte Rep. Khalid Dimaporo and his team expressed support to Villar’s senatorial bid during a visit in Tubod, Lanao del Norte on Tuesday.

Dimaporo urged his constituents to support Villar in the upcoming May elections during one of the sorties.

Gov. Imelda “Angging” Dimaporo also endorsed the lawmaker’s senatorial bid in another gathering of supporters.

Upon the invitation of the Dimaporos, Villar met with local mayors and candidates in the province, outlining her platform of legislative agenda, projects and advocacies.

In her speech, she cited the importance of improving agriculture through trainings and equipment upgrade to make it more appealing to the next generation of farmers.

She also put importance on how infrastructure boosts progress, not just in Mindanao, but all over the country.

Villar noted that her mother, Sen. Cynthia Villar, currently the chairperson of the Senate committee on agriculture, prioritized funding for the agriculture sector.

Sen. Villar had allocated over P200-million worth of agricultural machines and financial help to over 71 cooperatives in Lanao del Norte alone, her daughter said.
