OCTA: Tulfo brothers, Alyansa bets dominate senatorial polls

As the 2025 midterm elections approach, the Tugon ng Masa (TNM) survey released by OCTA Research suggests that voter preference leans towards media personalities, incumbent and former senators, and administration allies.

The famous Tulfo brothers—Erwin and Ben—and those affiliated with President Ferdinand Marcos Jr.’s slate “Alyansa Para Sa Bagong Pilipinas” are currently leading the race if the elections were held today.

ACT-CIS party-list Rep. Erwin Tulfo keeps a commanding lead with 70% voter preference, maintaining his position as the top contender, while his brother, fellow broadcaster Ben followed closely with 60%.

Senator Christopher Lawrence Go also ranks high with 58%, placing him between the 2nd and 4th spots, while former Senate President Vicente Sotto III secures 52%, positioning him in the 3rd to 8th range.

The administration-backed Alyansa senatorial slate is also dominating the following numbers, with Senator Ramon Revilla Jr. garnering 49%, ranking between 4th and 11th place.

Former Senator Panfilo Lacson and TV host Willie Revillame are tied at 48%, sharing the 4th to 11th spots, followed by Senator Pia Cayetano with 46% in the same bracket.

Meanwhile, former Senator Manny Pacquiao registers 45%, placing him between 5th and 12th spot, while Senator Imee Marcos trails closely with 44% in the same ranking.

Re-electionist Senator Lito Lapid also ranks high with 43%, securing a spot in the 5th to 14th range.

Interestingly, the 11th and 12th spots are tightly contested, with five candidates competing. Former Interior Secretary Benjamin Abalos Jr. has 39%, placing him between 9th and 16th place, while Senator Francis Tolentino follows with 38%, ranking between 10th and 16th place.

Makati Mayor Abby Binay is not far behind at 37%, putting her in the 11th to 16th range. Meanwhile, Camille Villar and Senator Ronald Dela Rosa are tied at 36%, placing them in the 12th to 16th bracket.

The non-commissioned survey was conducted from January 25 to 31, 2025 with 1,200 respondents using face-to-face interviews nationwide. The survey has a ±3% margin of error at a 95% confidence level.
