Manila allocates P155m for education subsidies

THE city government of Manila is set to release P155.04 million in allowances and subsidies for education, public safety, and law enforcement sectors. 

Mayor Francisco Moreno Domagoso said the allotment set for release this week aims to benefit teachers under the Schools Division Office of Manila.

“Teachers in the City of Manila—11,633—you will receive this week for your October, November, December allowances, worth P69.8 million,” he said.

The city government will also release P9.68 million in allowances for 6,452 public school students in the Grade 12 level. Likewise, it will disburse P26.03 million in allowances for 8,675 students of the Pamantasan ng Lungsod ng Maynila and P11.10 million in allowances for 5,551 students of the Universidad de Manila.
