ISABELA Gov. Rodito Albano and Vice Gov. Francis Faustino Dy have met with Department of Agriculture officials and National Food Authority representatives, along with local government executives, to discuss the government’s agricultural roadmap for the province.
The multi-sector conference sought to implement direct palay purchase from farmers across Isabela. The NFA allocated 1.45 million bags of palay for the initiative.
Let us support our farmers by buying their produce directly. It is a way to revive our agriculture and help our fellow citizens, Albano said.
It was also disclosed that ₱4.5 billion has been allocated for interventions like modernization and farm inputs, with farm-to-market roads budget increasing from ₱776 million to ₱1.9 billion.
