Twenty-two of the apprehended vehicles were towed to the MMDA impounding site in Tumana, Marikina City.

The operation also involved the removal of obstruction encroaching into sidewalks.

The Task Force emphasized that similar enforcement actions will continue in other areas of Metro Manila to restore order on major thoroughfares.

The MMDA is carrying out large-scale road clearing operations throughout Metro Manila, specifically targeted the areas that have been plagued by chronic gridlock and had raised complaints from residents.

Go said the operations served as a clear indication that the MMDA “will no longer tolerate indiscipline on our roads.”

MMDA chairman Romando Artes said these operations were part of the agency’s ongoing initiatives to clear roadways of obstructions, supported by reports from citizens

Artes continues to remind motorists to adhere to traffic laws and avoid treating Mabuhay Lanes, secondary roads, and sidewalks as parking areas. He also asked the public to help by reporting illegally parked vehicles, vendors, and other blockages.
